10 Famous Bands With Rotating Lineups

6. Guns N Roses

When the hair metal scene first started to get way out of hand, Guns N Roses was the breath of fresh air that most of us needed. Every other band along the Sunset Strip started to look more like a manufactured product, and these guys were the epitome of a street gang, ready to go to war with anyone who stood in their way. That magic could only last for so long, and fans have been subjected to the Axl Rose Show ever since.

Coming out of the tour for the double album Use Your Illusion, the band were already in shambles, with Steven Adler being replaced by Matt Sorum due to drug problems and Izzy Stradlin quitting halfway through because he couldn't deal with Axl's antics anymore. Once they arrived back in LA at the end of the tour though, there was no hope for the original band reforming, with the covers album the Spaghetti Incident biding them time before Slash and Duff McKagan walked out the door as well.

Ever since that day in 1994, fans have always known not to get too worked up about new GNR material, as Axl threw out an odd song here and there like Oh My God until finally giving us the mess of Chinese Democracy, which sounds like a passion project that took more than 20 years to bring together. Slash and Duff did find some time to come back to the band though, so it's anyone's guess as to whether that magic that was sparked back on Appetite for Destruction can come back or not.
