Run-DMC are seen as gods in hip hop circles thanks to their groundbreaking 80's output. While their interpolation of "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith broke down barriers between rock and hip hop, the final product felt a bit cheeky when you heard it on the record. Once the band called up Aerosmith to appear in the video, the song went nuclear.

At this point though, Aerosmith were not really considered a rock juggernaut. With Joe Perry leaving the band and the band's comeback album Done With Mirrors waning, this experimental track could have backfired spectacularly.
