But dont expect the pop-punk silliness of Boss of Me on their other albums...well, maybe the silliness. They Might Be Giants have made quite the name for themselves on the bizarre side of the indie scene as one of the few rock bands that can be confidently claimed as nerdier than Weezer. Sorry Weezer, but if youve ever heard Particle Man you know that these guys are on some other level. Also, you probably have no idea what a Particle Man is - dont worry, neither do we. Their latest album Nanobots was released last year and has all the signature nerdiness and fun of a They Might Be Giants album; between the love ballad to Nikola Tesla and the bizarre lead single Youre On Fire - which is about someone whose head literally bursts into flames at will - theres a lot to love. The best way it can be explained it that it's like if The Wiggles made music for adults; they did a Nanobots tour last year and it was one of the most bizarre shows traveling (in a good way).
