10 Great Collaborations That Combined Different Genres

7. All Of This

Blink-182 are icons not only in the pop-punk genre but in general. From their formation in 1992, they have gone through a few line-up changes but have been making music for nearly thirty years at this point, selling over 50 million albums. Credited with being part of the movement that brought pop punk into the spotlight, they were usually light-hearted, easy to listen to and renowned for their humour both live and in albums.

Robert Smith is one of the few who could scoff at the length of time that Blink 182 have been performing, by remaining active from 1976 until the present day. The founder and only continuous member of The Cure, he is famed for his song writing ability, distinctive sound and his look - utilising makeup and hair products - which is considered by some to have brought the Goth subculture to prominence in British culture.

Although they seem like two opposite ends of the spectrum, Smith contributed vocals to the track "All of This" on Blink-182's 2003 album. His sombre, brooding singing works perfectly over one of the more serious-sounding songs by Blink and hopefully, it turned a few ears towards The Cure and their work.
