10 Great Hard Rock Songs You Won't Find On Spotify
5. Night Of The Vampire - Grim Reaper
Does it get much more metal than a band named after the personification of death itself?
Grim Reaper, formed in 1979, were part of the new wave of British heavy metal that took the world by the scruff of the neck in the 1980s. Despite coming from a town called Droitwich, which sounds like a disease you'd die from in World War I, the band became extremely popular both at home and abroad.
Their songs featuring in Beavis and Butt-Head may have had something to do with that.
Even though they're a firm favourite amongst cult metalheads, the only presence this mighty group have on the big green circle is a single greatest hits album from 1999.
This contains all the big ones - Rock You to Hell, Fear No Evil, See You in Hell, etc. - but there's so much more of them out there to discover.
Take Night of the Vampire, for example. A thumping track that does exactly what it says on the tin - put you in the shoes of a bloodsucking monster - this song is definitely worth seeking out, as are Grim Reaper in general.
