10 Great Non-Rock Covers Of Rock Songs

5. Gaullin & Julian Perretta - Seven Nation Army (Originally By The White Stripes)

The White Stripes' anthem Seven Nation Army is so entrenched in modern culture that it's strange to think of a time before it.

Rock bands, pop stars, crowds at sporting events, everyone's had a go at this, but we've chosen to focus on the version by Gaullin and Julian Perretta.

Gaullin is a music producer from Lithuania, whilst Perretta is an English singer who has worked with big names like Mark Ronson, Dua Lipa, and Ed Sheeran. They combined forces to give Seven Nation Army a brand new coat of paint and that paint was neon.

This EDM iteration of the riffy rocker builds perfectly on the existing beat provided by the song. That four on the floor beat that makes the song so catchy is an integral part of dance music in all its forms; all these guys did was add in some samplers and synthesisers and Bob's your uncle.

Whilst conventional rock fans might turn their noses up at the idea of a club version of The White Stripes, just how imagine how excited you'd be if this came on the next time you were on the dancefloor.
