10 Great Rock Albums With Terrible Titles
5. Bust A Nut - Tesla
Honestly, there's really no need to elaborate on this one - this is an album literally called "Bust a Nut".
Tesla are not a band started by Elon Musk (thankfully), rather a rock outfit who had their heyday in the late 80s/90s, but still enjoy a strong following now.
They were coming off the back of a platinum-selling record when Bust a Nut came out in 1994, their fourth release and home to minor hits Mama's Fool and Need Your Lovin'. It sold well and, in a retrospective review, Guitar World magazine placed it in the top ten rock albums of the entire year.
But the title... just... the title.
To make matters worse, the album cover is a picture of a nut in a compressor, which only adds to the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Considering that previous album was called Psychotic Supper, an absolute corker of a name, this is a downgrade and then some.
Imagine going to recommend this album to a friend and then having to explain what it's called. They'd never speak to you again, and they would be well within their rights to do so.
