1. Megadeth Announced As Sunday Headliner For Bloodstock 2017
Doubtlessly the best thing to come out of 2017's first week was the latest announcement from the folks over at Derbyshire's Catton Park: thrash metal legends Megadeth are all set to headline the Sunday of the adored Bloodstock Festival.
The proverbial independent film to Download Festival's Hollywood blockbuster, Bloodstock is a smaller but much more "true" metal get-together than the UK's best-known rock event, as demonstrated by the fact that its known headliners as of this week are Megadeth and the equally acclaimed Amon Amarth.
Also appearing over the weekend will be Annihilator, Municipal Waste, Testament, HELL, Blind Guardian and more, all of which is so far combining to form what could be Bloodstock's best bill yet.
Meanwhile, Download has Biffy Clyro headlining. Fantastic...
