10 Greatest Animated Music Videos Of All Time

7. Avenged Sevenfold – A Little Piece Of Heaven

Skeletal musicians, a moody, grainy city and brutal violence – what's not to love? Okay, so the implications of Avenge Sevenfold's A Little Piece Of Heaven are incredibly twisted, but isn't that the point? The song was released in 2007 from the band's self-titled fourth album and clocks in at just over eight minutes.

What's impressive about the video is that the entire eight minutes are animated, as opposed to a truncated version of the song. The video begins with a couple eating dinner together, after which the man murders the woman and enters a...less than legal/moral/sane relationship with her corpse. After some time, however, the woman rises from the dead and tears out the man's heart.

Upon death, the man enters hell and is forced to witness the nature of his crimes, begging the woman for forgiveness. In the end this triggers the rising of innumerable zombies who start a killing spree, and the man and the woman – both still deceased – get married. It's absolutely bonkers, but it's a whole lot of fun.
