10 Greatest Animated Music Videos Of All Time
5. Disturbed – Land Of Confusion
Ah, nothing like some politically charged animation to get the blood pumping. Especially when that animation involves the destruction of many of the world's most famous buildings and what basically amount to Nazi robots. Disturbed's Land Of Confusion is a cover of the 1986 Genesis song, which features on Disturbed's third studio album Ten Thousand Firsts.
The video – animated by Todd McFarlane – depicts the band's mascot the Guy plummeting to earth in order to battle Nazi-esque soldiers and liberate the world from corrupt U.N. representatives. The video features politicians with similarities to everyone from George W. Bush to Vladimir Putin to Tony Blair.
There's nothing subtle about the video's message (which concludes with the destruction of a “Fat Cat” figure who literally explodes into a shower of money), but the animation is great and the action is frantic – and can you really ask for much more than that in just a few minutes?
