10 Greatest Australian Songs Of All Time

5. Confide In Me - Kylie Minogue

While there has never been doubting the popularity of the Aussie girl from Ramsay Street, there has strangely been a significant lack of critical appreciation for Kylie's work. While some of her early tunes may be considered a little disposable, everything from her self titled 5th album onwards was nothing short of brilliant, including this smouldering powerhouse of a song.

While Minogue went a long way to dismiss the girl next door image with the music video for Better the Devil You Know, it is this song where the 'cutesy' image was dismantled. The song oozes sensuality with Minogue whispering to us all along, wooing us in with secrets and assistance that we just can't turn down.

This was definitely the moment when Minogue could finally be seen as a credible talent, which quite frankly she always has been. The song helped open the doors for her in America, when she finally became the worldwide star us in Australia and the UK already knew she was.
