The Doors were one of the most talented and musically diverse groups of all time, and that certainly applies to their incredible drummer, John Densmore.

Densmore is a musician who was exceptionally dedicated to his craft and extremely well-versed and educated in multiple styles of drumming, which he often used to great effect in many of The Doors biggest hits. Densmore began his life as a classic percussionist but soon spread out to hone his craft. Densmore is a proficient classical, latin, rock and jazz drummer.

Densmore is an often overlooked member of the unbelievably talented Doors quartet but should be held in no less high regard that their enigmatic frontman or unmatched keyboard player. Densmore’s ability and variety in styles gave so much to what made the Doors interesting and unique. Songs like The Soft Parade and Not to Touch the Earth would be made so much less without Densmore’s incredibly precise and practised play.

Densmore is a man who honed his craft to perfection and it shows in every beat and bellow of The Doors incredible music. An undoubtedly talented stand-out of Classic Rock drumming roster of stars.
