10 Greatest Hard Rock Anthems Ever

Motley Crue have pretty much made an entire career out of writing kickass rock anthems. Ever since Nikki Sixx started the band in the early '80s, his mission was to have the crowd singing along to almost every song that the band performed. Plenty of Crue classics fit the bill for an anthem, but it wasn't until the late '80s that they found their calling card with Kickstart My Heart.

As the opening whammy dive bombs of Mick Mars' guitar kicks things into gear, the song explodes out of your speakers as soon as the music starts, preparing to take you on a journey of epic proportions. Even though the song is technically a punk song by Nikki's assessment, the presentation is decidedly metal, with every screaming lyric or meaty riff having more muscle than something like the Sex Pistols ever could.

Sure, there are a lot of rock fans who hate hair metal with every fiber of their being, but you have to be made of stone if you didn't get an adrenaline rush from the WHOA! YEAH! behind this chorus.
