3. Jim Morrison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O6x_m4zvFs The Shaman. The Lizard King. Mr. Mojo Risin Whatever name you attribute to the late Mr. Morrison, you can be sure that this legendary member of the 27 club didnt care, so long as you walked through the doors of perception when listening to him. Known for his incendiary stage presence and fiery, sometimes antagonistic performances, Jim loved to cause a scene and eventually became better known for his antics than his esoteric lyrics and crooners voice. When Morrison died in 1971, he had lived his 27 short years for all they were worth. His effect on rock showmanship and singing have greatly influenced the likes of Jeff Buckley and Travis Meeks from Days of the New. As an artist, Jim took rock and left it in a far more artistic place than he found it. A truly unique individual. RECOMMENDED LISTENING: The Doors, Strange Days, L.A. Woman
