10 Greatest MTV Unplugged Rock Performances

9. Queens Of The Stone Age

Queens Of The Stone Age - or QOTSA, as they are commonly known - were born out of the ashes of disbanded '90s desert/stoner rock band Kyuss, led by the talents of vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme. QOTSA added a cross between a glam metal and punk edge to the Kyuss sound, and that quickly saw them far exceed the success and notoriety of Homme’s original group.

The Queens already had breakthrough hits on MTV with songs such as Feel Good Hit Of The Summer, No One Knows and Go With The Flow by the time they performed on Unplugged in 2005.

Their acoustic set was filmed in Berlin and came hot on the heels of the release of their fourth album, Lullabies To Paralyze, featuring a setlist largely lifted from the classic album and with their quirky songwriting unexpectedly suiting the format perfectly.
