autopsy 2Track List: 1. Charred Remains 2. Service for a Vacant Coffin 3. Disembowel 4. Gasping for Air 5. Ridden with Disease 6. Pagan Saviour 7. Impending Dread 8. Severed Survival 9. Critical Madness 10. Embalmed 11. Stillborn (CD release only) Stand Out Track - Opener, Charred Remains. The lyrics pretty much speak for themselves: Burning from the inside out Bloody foam spews from your mouth Smell the putrid stench of flesh As it burns you to your death - Thanks for that Autopsy, graphic and unsettling! Gore, gore and even more lashings of glorious gore! Autopsy took Carcass's blueprint of using vile medical terminology, ran with it, butchered it with a meat-hook, cannibalised it and then vomited it all up into 42 minutes of pure filth....this is actually a compliment! Severed Survival, released in 1989, is the debut album by Autopsy and is a gore filled delight containing extreme guttural vocals by drummer Chris Reifert (Death/Abscess) and the stunning technical bass playing of death and thrash metal legend Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus/Death/Testament). Lyrically the band spews up sick images of horror and trauma throughout and this is one album that makes you feel like taking a shower after you've listened to it (again, a compliment). Severed Survival is a blood soaked classic!

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
