10 Greatest Rock Music Gigs Of The 1990s

2. Oasis At Knebworth

Most rock bands only dream of being able to have one of the biggest shows on Earth. Even when looking at the greatest shows in rock history like Woodstock and Live Aid, you typically need more than just one artist to get all those tickets to sell out. With years of experience under its belt, it was almost like the rock world still wasn't prepared for what went on at Oasis' gigs at Knebworth.

Being the culmination of the Britpop favorites' career, this is still one of the biggest concerts that the UK has ever seen, making history for having the most people applying for tickets. From the sounds from the stage that night, it was also well worth the wait, with the Gallagher Brothers working off each other perfectly, from the amazing sounds of the Masterplan to closing things out one of the nights with Champagne Supernova.

Seeing how this was one of the last gigs before the age of the Internet started to take over, this was the last gig of the '90s that truly felt like an event, with memories only existing in the minds of the people who were there that night. Even so, the demand for tickets was so strong that Oasis could have easily played double the amount of nights they were scheduled for. Hell, in another world, there's a good chance that they would still being playing there right now.
