10 Greatest Singers In Rock Music History

7. Brian Johnson - AC/DC

The best kinds of rock singers are the people that you can recognize within the first five seconds of the song. No matter how many times they might mix things up, there's a certain amount of respect that comes with someone you can identify the minute they open their mouth. That's not to say that AC/DC didn't have their hands full when Brian Johnson came on board.

Coming right off of losing one of the greatest frontmen of all time with Bon Scott, Johnson was brought in to fill the void and more than stepped up to the challenge. Outside of the amazing material he had to work with on Back in Black, there's a certain uninhibited quality to his voice that makes every track sound a lot more fun. Though some might consider it an acquired taste, the gargled with razorblades vocal delivery is always a blast to listen to, even when it's just building up energy at the beginning of Thunderstruck.

Though the band still interprets the Bon era sound to the best of their ability, Brian still gives it his all every time he takes to the stage, making songs like TNT keep their promise on being one of the most explosive moments at every show. For those about to rock, you might want to take a few cues from this guy to make sure you have all the bases covered.
