10 Guilty Pleasure Albums Nobody Will Admit That They Love

"These aren't my CDS, I swear, they're my ex's..."

When it comes to music the variety is really quite wonderful: genres and sub-genres and thousands of artists working within those categories. Listeners have an unbelievable amount of diverse choice, even if only a small flavour of music ever makes it into the mainstream. Only a tiny fraction of musicians will dominate the radio and sell millions of albums; either the same 20 artists who dominate every five year cycle or the singers who have a single, insanely successful hit before fading into obscurity. Perhaps because of that there's a certain stigma attached to music that makes it into the mainstream, as if it's somehow pedestrian or lesser. Yet even though many people consider their music taste to be somehow €œabove€ the mainstream radio (after all, taste in music is extremely personal, and is often used to try and influence how we want others to perceive us), sometimes it's just impossible to dislike certain songs and albums, despite their popularity... they're just too damn catchy. But there's a big difference between liking something and admitting that you like it...
