10 Hard Rock Bands Who Never Made A Bad Album

8. System Of A Down

For as nostalgic as the nu metal genre can be for some, the entire scene looks a bit scattered in hindsight. While jamming out to some of Korn's old records is always awesome, throwing on something like Limp Bizkit or Staind these days ends up eliciting more cringe out of listeners than nostalgia. A lot of these bands do have a fair bit of boring material in their discography, but you practically can't miss when it comes to System of a Down.

Forming in the late '90s, System was one of the few bands who you could say got better and better with every release. While the group's self-titled album was already a solid nu metal effort, the political mantle they cultivated on Toxicity gave the band their first modern classic. Though Steal This Album is looked at as a bit haphazard in the band's catalog, songs like "Innervision" can still ignite a mosh pit to this day.

As they ventured far beyond the typical nu metal formula, the one-two punch of Mezmerize and Hypnotize was the perfect epic send-off for the band's glory period. We may not have gotten much else from System since the early '00s, but at this point, it might be best not to mess with the legacy.
