10 Hard Rock Bands Who Never Made A Bad Album

7. Rush

Rush have been one of the hardest bands to pin down in the eyes of rock fans. While the band's riffs are excellent, many rock listeners take issue with everything from the pretentious lyrics to the more experimental moments with synthesizers. For as much contention that the rock fanbase has with the inner workings of the band, allow me to impart some wisdom on the music: IT KICKS ASS.

Keeping the same power trio dynamic, these Canadian rockers pushed the limits of what hard rock could do with every passing record. Originally mining a Zeppelin-flavored sound, the band quickly grew up to become prog rock giants, with albums like Fly By Night and A Farewell to Kings. They're even one of the few bands who have two classics to their name with 2112 and Moving Pictures. Even if many people have their gripes with the band's synth period, each of those records still hold up as some of the most emotionally potent records of the '80s.

Granted, some albums like Caress of Steel and Roll the Bones maybe looked at as the dark horses of the band's catalog, but even those albums have some of the most adventurous musical sections ever heard in rock. Rush were never trying to be the best band in the world, but after years of tinkering with their craft, they may have found their way into the halls of musical giants.
