10 Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In The Same Year

1. AC/DC - High Voltage & Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

AC/DC first put out a record by the name of High Voltage in 1975, although it was only available in their native Australia. When the time came to release an album internationally, they clearly thought there was no point in wasting a perfectly good name, and so called that one High Voltage as well.

The 1976 version of the album is the one most people will know. It's got a picture of Angus Young pulling a funny face on the cover; that's hard to forget.

Only a couple of songs from the original made it to the follow-up version, but the new songs were good enough to propel High Voltage to all sorts of high sales figures.

Just four months later, we got Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, the band's second international album. Except, it wasn't released in the US until 1981. Why do you have to make this so difficult, AC/DC?

The point is that the band were putting out so much stellar stuff at this time that it's hard to keep track of it all. Thankfully, they got to be so popular that they could employ an entire team of people to put their history together.

They certainly needed it.
