10 Hard Rock Music Covers You Wish Never Happened

5. You Shook Me All Night Long – Céline Dion & Anastacia

Yet another example of pop singers straying into realms that they're just not suited for...

AD/DC might be somewhat repetitive in their approach to composing rock songs, with consistent, yet simple drum beats, classic-rock chord progressions and a plethora of sexual innuendoes, but their formula works. You know what you're getting with AC/DC, a good time. Their music is simply the purest and most unfiltered embodiment of hard rock.

You'd think then, that this fairly straight forward formula would be easy enough to replicate, all you need is a half decent backing band and some powerful vocals. No one would argue that Céline Dion isn't an extremely talented singer, and Anastacia voice is not to be snubbed either, her vocal performance in this track is extremely impressive... but that just wasnt enough.

This cover would be less offensive if it didn't come with the visual aspect to it. Dion enters the stage doing the one-legged hop of someone using their limb as a guitar (impressive considering the heels she was wearing) but from that moment, you realise this performance is going to be no less cringe inducing than your mum and auntie prancing around after one too many glasses of Prosecco.
