10 Hard Rock Songs That Were Supposed To Be Classics (But Tanked)

2. All in the Suit That You Wear - Stone Temple Pilots

All good superhero movies benefit from a kickass soundtrack, and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man is no different. Despite some other movies around this time like DareDevil going down the edgy road with songs like Evanescence's Bring Me to Life, Spidey's first turn on the big screen was an eclectic mix of rock, from Aerosmith doing the theme song to Stone Sour and Sum 41 showing up. There may have been a lot of awesome moments on here, but we were all robbed out of one of Stone Temple Pilots' greatest songs.

After being asked to write a song specifically for the Spider-Man movie, STP offered up the song All In the Suit That You Wear, which has all you have come to expect from their later period. Recorded just before the dark times of albums like Shangri La Dee Da, Suit offers all of the glammy pastiches we've come to expect on albums like Tiny Music without compromising their original sound.

For as much as Scott Weiland may have been aching to do Velvet Revolver around this time, his vocal chops on here are still amazing, as he settles into his groove as a terrific rock frontman. After some label negotiations though, this was just reserved for an STP best-of collection, with Chad Kroeger taking over vocal duties instead for the song Hero. While fanboys may gripe about having a better version of Spider-Man 3, the real crime Sony committed was not having this playing over the end credits of the first movie.
