10 Hilariously Bad Musicians That Are Crazy Successful

2. Michael Bolton

You probably don't need the help of some jackass on the Internet to tell you that the back half of the '80s got a bit too over the top. If you were even slightly aware of the days of Warrant and Winger in the waning years of hair metal, you already know that the teased hair was starting to become a thing of the past real quick. Then it was the '90s...and everything went to hell with Michael Bolton.

Yeah, before grunge really came in and hit the airwaves, all we were left with was the sappiest of rock and roll, with Mr. Bolton at the center of it all. Although not a bad singer by any means, the main flaw of Bolton that makes him so delightfully horrible is the melodramatic nature of every one of his songs. This man clearly couldn't just sit down and write a love song...it had to be the love song to end all love songs.

Even when he was just pouring out random album tracks, you'd think that it was the end of the world with how he sang it, making him a prime candidate for parodies later down the line. Although Mr. Bolton has always leaned into his more cheesy nature, it's prime gouda that goes all the way back around into being amazing again.
