10 Huge Artists Who Got Snubbed At The Grammys

8. Oasis

Half of the reasoning behind most of the Grammys seems to come down to the artist's image in the limelight. Since this system has always been about celebrating the classics, it took them a long time to get used to rock and roll, let alone hip hop and dance music later down the line. When you're outspoken about everything under the sun though, it makes sense why Oasis were never really considered.

Chances are that the Grammys looked at the Gallagher Brothers and saw them as nothing more than just a trend, piggybacking off of the Beatles' legacy. And sure, the Gallaghers love Lennon and McCartney and are unashamed of it, but they put out some quality music of their own as well, with What's the Story Morning Glory becoming one of the greatest albums that the '90s had ever seen.

Even with some of their major hits like Wonderwall cracking the American charts, they never received a single nomination for anything that they've done. Noel hasn't really minced about how he feels about it either, saying that it seems disrespectful given the kind of track record that he has worked with at this point. Then again, Noel was never one to trust the journalist crowd of the music media either, so it would almost be poetic justice for him not to get any Grammy at this point. As much as critical praise might be nice, the critics are not always your friends, and the people will always decide what lives forever.
