10 Huge Artists Who Got Snubbed At The Grammys

4. Radiohead

You can't really get a better critical darling in the recent past than Radiohead. Although the start of the band's career may have been a little shaky, every single album that they have released since 1997 has felt like an event for the higher ups in the music business, as Thom Yorke and co. take their music in different directions that no one had ever heard before. And while the line in the sand that happened on Kid A was definitely jarring, it did manage to win the Academy over...kind of.

In one of the more notorious screwups in Grammys history, Radiohead didn't end up walking away with a Grammy for Album of the Year, despite being one of the frontrunners at the time. Though the competition with Paul Simon's most recent album seemed a bit off, seeing the trophy be awarded to Steely Dan's final project is one of the most baffling decisions that the Recording Academy has ever made.

That wasn't even the only snub that happened in that category either, with Eminem also being up for the award at the same time on the back of The Marshall Mathers LP. While you can argue that Kid A has aged a lot better than Em's breakthrough from back in the day, it doesn't help the fact that choosing Steely Dan over either of these has made the overseers look like absolute dinosaurs by comparison.
