7. The XX - I See You

The XX achieved phenomenal success back in 2009 when they debuted their record XX. XX sold remarkably well, topping a bunch of critic's best of 2009 lists and even going on to win the Mercury Prize. Pretty impressive for a debut effort.

Their follow-up, Coexist, was an interesting evolution, incorporating elements of electronic dance while remaining simple and intimate. It's been four years since Coexist, however, and the band are finally returning in January 2017 with I See You.

Lead single On Hold suggests a similar musical style, continuing the trend of songs about love and heartbreak, sung as a gorgeous duet by Romy and Oliver. Expect these tracks to dominate the radio in early 2017.

And yes, I See You is using another varient of the same album art found on the band's previous two records. Long may the trend continue!
