10 Incredible Rock Singers Who Were In TWO Great Bands
7. Jack White - The White Stripes/The Raconteurs
Jack White is a true anomaly of the music business right now. As opposed to the more electronic side of modern music, White has kept up the reputation of being the old-school kid in the modern world, with his love of analog equipment and down and dirty blues rock.
Many folks will know White's iconic work from his time in the White Stripes, where tracks like "Seven Nation Army" and "Fell In Love With a Girl" became huge. At the same time, White found time to let off some artistic steam away from the Stripes with the Raconteurs, where he traded guitar licks and vocal parts with frontman Brendan Benson.
Though the music may have still been rooted in blues, the more straightforward sound of the Raconteurs was just different enough not to encroach on the more maniacal vocal delivery White was known for in his earlier outfit.
Aside from his main acts, Jack White has even found time to sprinkle in his musical talents in other acts by playing drums for the Dead Weather and even lending his vocal chops to "Don't Hurt Yourself" off Beyonce's 2016 masterpiece Lemonade.
White may be a student of the old school, but he's been showing this generation new tricks for years now.
