7. Frank Sinatra €“ "Strangers in the Night"

The song most ardently hated by Sinatra however, was "Strangers in the Night," a 1966 ballad that the singer none too eloquently described as "a piece of s**t" and "the worst f**king song I have ever heard." Regardless of how Sinatra felt about it, "Strangers in the Night" became a number one hit and a beloved classic that is still covered by jazz crooners to this day. That mainstream approval for the song meant that Sinatra had to perform it live from time to time, a fact that ol' blue eyes always resented. During at least one concert, Sinatra could be seen mouthing "I hate that song" during his bows. We just hope he didn't send his mob connections after Bert Kaempfert, the guy responsible for actually writing and orchestrating the song.
