10 Legends That Guested On Hard Rock Songs

3. All For Nothing - Linkin Park

Almost every single record that Linkin Park has put out can be considered fairly in house. These guys can practically have their own creative factory bouncing ideas off each other, from Joe Hahn’s work with electronic effects to Mike Shinoda’s rapping skills leading the charge. For The Hunting Party though, they were trying to make the record that they would have loved to hear as kids, and you sometimes need a bit of leg work in the process.

Bringing in Page Hamilton from the metal band Helmet, he fits like a glove next to Shinoda’s verses, giving a husky voice to the sections that are normally reserved for Chester. That’s not to say that Chester has been completely cut out of the picture or anything, with him coming in with a vengeance shouting the chorus with Page on the last few lines. Since his last gigs had been serving as the replacement singer for Stone Temple Pilots, it’s refreshing hearing him back in full form as well, delivering the same grit that you knew him for on songs like A Place for My Head.

Even though these are the same guys that made Hybrid Theory back in the day, there seems to be a new feeling in the air this time around. Mike may still be rapping over these beats, but this is about as metal as the band would ever get in their entire career.
