https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyjTrwOMSO4 Is this the most upbeat song ever written about meth addiction? Unless Pharrell's "Happy" had a hidden meaning, we're going to go with yes. Third Eye Blind pulled off something quite magical here in singing the lyrics of this song so quickly that no one could quite make them out and most people assumed they were about a pair of lovers striving for more. And, well, they sort of are! After an opening verse in which the singer's girlfriend comes to visit with the express purpose of going down on him (romance!), the pair fall into a drug haze. But there's hope, as he sings with self-awareness that "Doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break". So...maybe they recovered? Let's assume they did because otherwise this song becomes a real bummer to blast in your car.
