10 Major Albums Where Everything Went Wrong

7. The Big Day - Chance the Rapper

After the success of Coloring Book, people were dying to see what Chance the Rapper had up his sleeve for his next project. Since most of his independent mixtapes ended up becoming some of the most thoughtful and care free hip hop of the modern age, his first debut album was sure to be one for the ages. Then the Big Day happened and sucked all of the fun out of the room.

With an already bloated collection of tracks, Chance pulls out every corny bar he can think of for this project, complete with some references to everything from the Dimmsdale Dimmadome to every single wretched bar of Hot Shower. While there are a few guests on display here, they add absolutely nothing when you have them alongside Chance's warped delivery across everything.

It may seem interesting to have someone like Ben Gibbard adding his trademark voice to the album...it would also be nice if it was paired with an actual good song though. Then again, it's not fair to bat this thing down too hard, considering most of it was coming from a genuine place of love as Chance was celebrating his marriage to his wife. Kudos to you Chance, but just a fair reminder: just because you're having fun doesn't mean that your audience is having just as much fun.
