Yet another baby from Simon Cowell's money-making talent show who, unlike most, produced a respectable style of singing that was actually pleasant to listen to. There is sadly however a trend in X-Factor and talent-show 'stars' in how they develop following their TV success. Anyone remember Steve Brookstein (2004 X-Factor winner) or even Susan Boyle? Have you heard any of their more recent work? The answer is most likely no. So how long will Sam's incredible vocal chords keep her in the charts? Well, a guaranteed number one hit is provided to any X Factor winner, although how long it stays up there usually depends. Sam's "Skyscraper" cover of the Demi Lovato original certainly made us all tingle, but there's a chance she may follow the likes of James Arthur (2012 X-Factor winner) who had his temporary spurt of fame followed by a few outrageous Twitter comments. We have yet to see a set of original songs from Sam, as up until now she's only been known to sing covers. Perhaps the public will enjoy hearing her sing something from her own mind and perhaps that will lead her to bigger and better things, but for now she is sadly but another product from the X-Factor factory.
