10 Masterpiece Albums From Supposedly "Terrible" Bands
5. Up All Night - Razorlight
The Album
Before singer Johnny Borrell started wearing white leather and dry humping Kirsten Dunst to the tones of 'I've got a hot body girlfriend', he was the architect behind Up All Night. Born from the ashes of his time as a fellow Libertine, his new band's debut tore through the airwaves with nougties bangers 'Golden Touch', 'Rip It Up' and the heart racing 'Stumble And Fall', sending a generation of greasy indie kids onto the dancefloor. This was the iconic sound of noughties Britain.
Despite aiming for the stadiums with their self-titled follow up and doing pretty well in the charts, this and their future efforts were too self-indulgent to be enjoyable and showed Razorlight to be one of indie's biggest one albim wonder bands. iva Borrell.
Best Song
'Don't Go Back To Dalston' nearly edges it, but to get the full blast of what this band was about back in 2004 look no further than the absolute drainpipe-stretching beast that is 'Golden Touch'.
