10 Metal Albums That Should Have Been Great (But Totally Weren't)

2. Bullet For My Valentine - Temper Temper

To put it plainly, Temper Temper (2013) is Bullet for My Valentine's only objectively bad album. While every release by the band both before and since has crafted its own dynamic, for better or worse in some cases, this record just feels like watered-down hard rock, with the occasional growl poured in in an attempt to stop the fans from going totally ballistic.

But, still, the fans went totally ballistic anyway.

Despite its predecessor in Fever (2010) being the genesis of Bullet for My Valentine's cleaner, rock-orientated approach, that album at least had the distinction of a monstrous lead single in the form of fan favourite "Your Betrayal", as well as some truly under-appreciated bangers like "Dignity" and "Alone".

Temper Temper, on the other hand, gave us an apex of horror in the form of the most unnecessary sequel since Psycho II (1983), "Tears Don't Fall, Part 2: Electric Boogaloo".
