10 Modern Rock Music Artists With A Throwback Sound

2. Chubby And The Gang

When you think of hardcore punk, you think of the 1970s.

You think of the Sex Pistols on ITV, you think of bleak-looking London streets, you think of thousands of parents concerned about the futures of their darling offspring!

What you don't think of is a band that started in 2019.

Chubby and the Gang from West London may be mere musical toddlers, but they already have an impressive repertoire of songs. Two full albums, one EP, and several singles have earned them a steady following of punks young and old.

Performing songs that wouldn't have looked out of place as Ramones B-sides, Chubby and the Gang have won over audiences with their commitment to the genre in its purest form.

Everything about the band - their music, their personalities, their clothes, their videos - just screams punk and they all carry it off with the confidence of much more seasoned performers.

Punk is often seen as a stubborn genre, refusing to change with the times or evolve to survive. However, thanks to Chubby and the Gang, there is hard evidence that this once-ancient style is full of new life.
