10 More Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In 2 Consecutive Years

6. Lamb Of God - As The Palaces Burn & Ashes Of The Wake

For those who don't know, Lamb of God have nothing to do with either the Christian saviour or the fluffy springtime animal.

Instead, they're among the elder statesmen of new wave American metal and have been popular with fans of screaming your guts out since the turn of the millennium.

Their back catalogue is very impressive, with two of their best releases coming in 2003 and then one year later in 2004.

First up was As the Palaces Burn, their second album under the Lamb of God name. Alongside the talents of the band itself, this album is also bolstered by metal legend Devin Townsend serving as its producer.

One year later, Lamb of God put out Ashes of the Wake, an album expired by the horrors of the Iraq War. This deeper subject matter would clearly resonate with audiences, as this would become the group's best-selling record to date.

If you want pure, unadulterated, no nonsense metal, then Lamb of God are a fantastic place to start. These two albums have that sound in abundance and showcase a band on the precipice of becoming legends in their own time.
