10 More Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In 2 Consecutive Years

4. Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic & Rocks

Without the 1975 album Toys in the Attic, we wouldn't have the Aerosmith we know and love today.

That also means we wouldn't have had those seasons of American Idol where Steven Tyler was a judge. That's not a world worth living in.

Toys in the Attic was the band's most successful album to date, charting at number 11 in the US. In terms of singles, you could ask for much worse than Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way.

Although Run-DMC wouldn't show up on that song until about a decade later.

The success of this album set the stage for Rocks one year on, which gave us one of the best opening tracks in rock music history, Back in the Saddle.

You've not known cool until you've put the needle on the record and had this song blast back at you.

Aerosmith have such a deep and varied discography that doesn't always appeal to everyone. In some fans' eyes, they sold out big time in the 1980s and became parodies of their former selves.

That's a bit harsh, but if you do think that, then maybe just stick to these two albums to be on the safe side.
