10 More Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In 2 Consecutive Years

2. Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz & Diary Of A Madman

Can you imagine how many drugs you would have to do to get fired from Black Sabbath?

That's like getting the sack from Fox News for being too right wing.

According to the rest of the band, this is why Ozzy Osbourne was let go from Sabbath in 1979. Although, if you ask the Prince of Darkness, you might get a different answer.

Without his old friends to back him up, Ozzy struck out on his own. This led to the release of his first solo album in 1980; Blizzard of Ozz.

Seriously, whoever came up with that name wasn't paid nearly enough.

In 1981, Ozzy then brought out solo album number two - Diary of a Madman. With just two releases, the former frontman had already established a catalogue to rival the outfit that had replaced him.

Crazy Train; Mr Crowley; Goodbye to Romance; Flying High Again; Little Dolls. Ozzy had proven to the world that he didn't need Black Sabbath to produce excellent music and that he was going to be just fine on his own.

No wonder they all got back together in 2011.
