10 More Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In The Same Year
6. Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV & The Slip
Depending on how you look at it, Nine Inch Nails either released two different albums in 2008 or they released five.
In March, the industrial metal giants put out Ghosts I-IV. This is treated as one single album, in spite of the fact that it contained two discs with each side making up a different branch of the "Ghost" narrative.
Because things weren't confusing enough, the songs are all named after what number they are in the track listing followed by the name of the disc they are on.
This makes them incredibly hard to write about, but we can share that 34 Ghosts IV was sampled in the beat that eventually became the song Old Town Road.
Trent Reznor has a writing credit on Old Town Road.
The world is a magical place.
Just two months later, the band released another album called The Slip. Mercifully, this was a much more straightforward affair, containing just ten songs that all had normal names.
Well, except for the one that was called "999,999."
The important things to take away from this is that both of these are good and that Trent Reznor is an absolute nutcase.
