10 More Hard Rock Vinyl Albums That Are Worth A Lot Of Money
7. Metallica - Load
Metallica have been around and popular for so long that they've seen their music sold on vinyl, cassettes, CDs, digital downloads, and will probably be around when people are able to absorb songs directly into the brains.
The thrash metal pioneers first hit the mainstream with 1991's Black Album, which was followed up five years later by Load. The album continued the band's foray into more conventional rock, with songs like Bleeding Me, Hero of the Day, and Until It Sleeps showcasing them to a whole new audience.
Load was issued in a bunch of different ways, but the one that makes this list is the four-disc limited edition 2010 reissue from Warner Bros. Records. Only 100 copies of this album were pressed on a special white vinyl, making it very attractive to Metallica fans old and new.
As a result, Discogs lists the average value of this set as $709.20. A version on black vinyl also exists, but that's not nearly as valuable as this beaut.
It may not be everyone's favourite Metallica album, but it will be yours if it makes you $700+ richer.
