10 More Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

1. School’s Out - Alice Cooper (2,937 Times)

Speaking of the 3,000 mark, Alice Cooper is just 63 plays away from entering that lauded territory.

From his days in his self-titled band to his raucous solo career to Wayne's World and beyond, Alice Cooper has been a consistent rock and roll icon, equal parts shocking, embarrassing, and mesmerising.

The Coop is still making music, with his 29th overall record, Road, coming on August 25th 2023. This release will be followed by a set of tours alongside Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Rob Zombie, and you can bet your top hat that School's Out will be played every single night.

Since it came out in 1972, Cooper has performed the song live 2,937 times, often as the set closer or as the encore. To be fair, it's the perfect track for this role; an all-out singalong, head-banging classic for fans to sink their fangs into one last time before going home.

Alice could have called it quits years ago and he would still be remembered as an all-time great, but his commitment to music and his love for performing seemingly knows no ends. Bring on the next 3,000 shows.
