10 More Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

4. Roundabout - Yes (2,192 Times)

Formed in 1968 by the likes of Jon Anderson and Chris Squire, prog rock monoliths Yes have undergone a lot of changes in the many years since then, including revolving line-ups and radical shifts in style.

With the release of the album 90125 in 1983, the group switched to more commercially-oriented brand of music, resulting in the classic rock radio staple Owner of a Lonely Heart. That song has been played live by the band a measly 955 times, proving once and for all that prog is the superior genre.

You can all go home now.

To give Owner its dues, the song that tops the Yes charts had a full 12-year head start on it. Roundabout, which is not a song about methods of controlling traffic, was their first breakthrough hit, and thus, it has appeared in most Yes sets since with 2,192 plays.

The album version of Roundabout is eight-and-a-half minutes long, but the live timings vary from anywhere between six and nine, presumably depending on what the curfew is for the arena.

Roundabout is proof that prog will never die, as much as some people would like it to.
