10 More Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

3. Oye Cómo Va - Santana (2,313 Times)

Oye Cómo Va is a 1962 cha-cha-chá piece by famous Latin bandleader Tito Puente, who you might remember as one of the possible shooters of Mr. Burns on The Simpsons.

Eight years after Puente's version came out, a little band called Santana left their much rockier imprint on the track. This rendition of Oye Cómo Va went on to become much more popular, which is presumably what made Tito angry enough to resort to gun violence.

Santana have since made the song their own and have played it a whole bunch of times live. Since they first performed it at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in 1969, the band have played Oye Cómo Va a staggering 2,313 times.

In second place is the band's version of Fleetwood Mac's Black Magic Woman, which is mixed with Gábor Szabó's instrumental Gypsy Queen. Their third most-played song is called Jin-go-lo-ba, which was originally performed by Babatunde Olatunji...

Wait a second... are Santana just playing other people's songs? Have they been a covers band this whole time and nobody's noticed?

Eh, let them off, they do such a good job of it.
