10 More Rock Songs That Insulted Other Musicians

2. Let It Die - Foo Fighters

With a back catalogue as vast as they have, it's no surprise that Foo Fighters have plenty of underrated bangers to their name.

One of their best forgotten tracks is this absolute stormer from Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. What starts as a quiet acoustic song soon explodes into a furious hard rock number, as Dave Grohl berates somebody for letting something special, well, die.

As it turns out, he was talking about Courtney Love.

The former Nirvana drummer has had a pretty publicly rocky relationship with the Hole singer, mainly stemming from the fallout of her ex-husband's Kurt Cobain's tragic passing.

Grohl has said that the song is about the futility of arguments with certain people, especially in the face of much larger issues. He's indirectly stated that the song is about his feelings towards Love, saying in one interview "there are a lot of people that I’ve been angry with in my life, but the one that’s most noted is Courtney."

Honestly, Love has nothing to be mad about here. Sure, Dave Grohl might have publicly dissed her, but he did it in the form of an absolute banger.

What a compliment.
