10 Most Anticipated Albums Still To Come In 2017

6. Visions Of A Life - Wolf Alice

Turning their backs on the modern way of announcing new album plans via social media, Wolf Alice came up with a pretty cool way of letting their fans know they had new material. People who had signed up to the band's mailing list received postcards with messages such as “who hurt you sad boy?” and “a transcendent invitation to the zero hour” inscribed on them.

It looked as if the guitar heavy sound of Wolf Alice's debut might be given the heave-ho too, with Instagram posts from the band showing a recording studio lathered with Synthesisers. However, cheekily titled Yuk Foo, maiden single from the new album, gave us the fury and screaming guitars we had previously became accustomed to. Maybe there'll be some more diversity revealed when Visions Of A Life drops in September though, as showing any new sound with an opening single would hardly be expected. The band also stated that they wanted to come back with a “big bang” hence choosing Yuk Foo as the first song to be released, but they have promised the new record will be “pretty varied” and the rest of Visions... will be different to what we've already heard.

It's not like they'll go from sounding like The Ramones to Yes in the space of one record, a notion that sounds horrible anyway, but if Wolf Alice bring some electro to their rage, they could easily better their debut.
