10 Most Bizarre Celebrity Cameos In Music Videos
8. Zooey Deschanel - The Offspring's She's Got Issues
Now, going even further back to the late '90s, The Offspring's She's Got Issues featured a star who, much like Mila Kunis in Jaded, was yet to reach the pinnacle of her fame.
She's Got Issues was the fourth and final single from Americana, battling the near-impossible task of following Pretty Fly (For a White Guy), Why Don't You Get A Job? and The Kids Aren't Alright.
The track sees frontman Dexter Holland lyrically lambast a martyr-esque girlfriend with commitment issues and baggage from former relationships - portrayed in the video by a flame-red haired Zooey Deschanel - by stating, "She says she's my victim but she takes it all out on me."
Deschanel wakes up, goes about her typical workday, and sees all of her annoyances enhanced by animations that torture those who irk her, before visiting her psychiatrist then returning to her apartment which now features The Offspring performing the end of the song.
While the legendary punk band were at the peak of their powers in 1998, She's Got Issues gained much less mainstream notoriety for the band. Deschanel's appearance in a music video nowadays may strap the rocket to that song, but the actress had only appeared in one episode of Veronica's Closet and Mumford at the time, before appearing in Almost Famous shortly thereafter.
Deschanel, of course, has gone on to star in blockbusters such as Elf, Yes Man, (500) Days of Summer and be the protagonist in hit series New Girl.
