An incredibly manipulative music video that doesn't really match up with the song's message, but this doesn't make it any less distressing. It's the old people again doing the job, an elderly couple holding each other tight as the melancholy tune with the melancholy lyrics wallows in the background.
The tears flowing from the old couple is a little tacked on and feels like it was added in post to match the sombre nature of the song, with the Director's intention of depressing us all blatantly clear. The young couple present in the video feel like they were meant to be the primary characters and are of far more interest, due to the more minimalist portrayal of their emotions.
But hey, who needs grounded and believable characters when you can watch an old man balling his eyes out over the idea of losing the love of his life?
