10 Most Disappointing Rock & Metal Albums Of 2020
5. Trapt - Shadow Work
Admittedly, no one was expecting miracles from the new Trapt album, but ‘Shadow Work’ was appalling even by their standards. Generally considered to be one of the most hated bands in rock music, Trapt have been living off the fame of their 2002 hit, ‘Headstrong’, almost exclusively for the past 18 years.
Even though expectations were low or basically non-existent in most cases, this album still disappointed everyone because of how unimaginably awful it was. Every song is slow, dull, stagnant and lazily written. The feedback for this album was justifiably poor, with ‘Shadow Work’ currently holding an 8% approval rate on Google music and holding an average score of 1.4 on Amazon music.
Although this wasn’t the most disappointing album of the year, it was definitely the worst. To top off a dismal year for Trapt, they had their Facebook and Twitter pages removed by the social media sites over claims of ‘inappropriate content’.
